A Message from Johnny

After nearly 22 years in the accounting and financial world, I still enjoy waking up every day with the opportunity to help clients make better decisions, solve problems, and move closer to their goals.

My career has taken me through several different sides of the profession, both public and private. Each step gave me valuable experience, but more importantly, it gave me perspective.

When I founded Barranco & Associates in 2018, I wanted to build a firm that felt different. I wanted clients to feel heard, understood, and genuinely supported. My goal has always been to combine technical knowledge with practical advice that actually helps people in their everyday business and financial lives.

Financial education and client relationships are a big part of why I love what I do. Whether I am helping a business owner plan for growth, guiding a family through tax decisions, or helping someone better understand their financial picture, the most rewarding part of this work is seeing clients succeed.

Life Outside the Office

Rooted in Fairhope

When not in the office, you'll find Johnny with his wife, Ginger, and their six kids — Kate (19), Ally (17), Wesley (16), Sam (13), Jack (6), and Patrick (5). Kate attends Auburn University, while the other kids are at Christ the King Catholic School and St. Michael's Catholic High School, keeping Johnny plenty busy with academics, sports, and activities.

As a family, they stay active in St. Lawrence Catholic Church and are proud supporters of the local community. When it's time to relax, you can find Johnny cheering on Auburn sports — a passion that runs deep after graduating from Auburn University. Whether it's football in the fall or basketball in March, he's all in.
